Description
Full color 10″ x 13 1/2″ ad for their Vegetable Soup. The headline, next to a picture of a dinner table with a bowl of this soup and a plate of crackers, offers “Your Main Dish Ma’am…and mighty good”. The ad reasons that there is “No wonder Women everywhere call Campbell’s Vegetable Soup ‘Almost a Meal in Itself’. “The text talks about the ingredients this soup is made from and calls it “a substantial soup”. At the bottom of the ad, next to a drawing of the female Campbell Kid, is a poem attributed to her. They have taken poetic license with this little poem because they have misspelled the word “poem”, spelling it “pome”, so that it rhymes with the last word in the poem.
