Description
Full color 5″ x 14″ ad for, believe it or not, Armour Pure Lard. The ad headline says that “Mrs. America gives you her favorite pie recipe – using Armour Star Lard“. The ad then has a picture of Mrs. Betty McAllister who had been crowned “Mrs. America” and another picture of her Old-Fashioned Apple Pie. It contains the recipe and baking instructions which include adding 2/3 cup of Armour Star Lard to the ingredients for the crust. At the bottom of the ad it has a picture that shows a one-pound package of the Lard and, at the bottom of the ad it says, “Remember, lard saves you money, too!”
