Black and white 10″ x 13″ ad that shows a man driving in a circle on his Toro Lawn Mower and the text says that “It’s in the bag!”. This is a Toro Pony and the ad tries to convince you that this is just what you want. The ad says to “Put away you lawn mowing and clean-up problems. Get yourself this new Toro Pony. First of all it gives you the neatest, most even-cutting job you’ve ever seen. Second, it vacuums up the clippings and other lawn litter, and blows them into the handy bag where they can be disposed of easily”. They claim that it has a 25-inch cutting blade and single-lever height of cut adjustment. In addition there is a pivoting front axle that hugs uneven ground and a 4 1/2 hp engine that’s mounted in the rear. The price is quoted as $34.95 down but it does not say anything else.
