Wonder Ad 1967 MarchFull color 9 1/2″ x 13 1/2″ ad for Wonder Enriched Bread and Hostess Fruit Pies. This ad starts off with an evening photo of a girl and a boy riding their three-wheelers as the sun sets and the headline says to “Make the most of their ‘Wonder Years'”. The text says that “Durnig their ‘Wonder Years’ – one through twelve – your children develop in many ways – actually grow to 90% of their adult height. To help make the most of their ‘Wonder Years,’ serve them nutritious Wonder Bread. Every delicious slice is carefully enriched with foods for body and mind. So make the most of their ‘Wonder Years’ by serving Wonder Bread every day”. At the bottom of this ad it asks you “…and serve Hostess Fruit Pies – made with more fruit filling than crust”. There are three pictures here, the first one shows a Hostess Fruit Pie with a bite taken out of it and cherry filling spilling out. The second picture shows a little boy licking his lips as he prepares to bite into a Hostess Fruit Pie and the third one shows a filled rack of Hostess Fruit Pies.
