Full color 9 1/2″ x 13″ ad for their Sampler Assortments, the gift that will smooth over the rough edges of most minor mistakes that a man will make in his everyday activities. There is a picture of a smiling young lady who has clasped her hands to the sides of her face as she holds a piece of this candy that has had a delicious bite taken from it. She has somewhat rolled her eyes to the side as she tries with no luck to remember what idiotic thing he had done to cause him to present her with such a prize. The caption has her saying that “The nicest man in the world just gave me a Whitman’s Sampler“ and the text reminds those of us who do not have mistakes to atone for that Sweetest Day is coming up on October 18th.
