Black and white 5″ x 11 1/2″ ad for the well-known Wesson Oil Salad Bowl. The top headline starts off with “1, 2, 3 – and you have made the most popular summer dish” and it is “Cool – Healthful – Appetizing”. There are three pictures that show how to make this delicacy. First, you decide what vegetables you would like to have and chop them up into bite size edibles. Then you mix the ingredients up with Wesson Oil, salt and pepper and a few others depending on what it is that you have chosen. The third picture warns that you should make this with Wesson Oil and not with anything else. There are two pictures near the bottom, one shows a husband saying “I’m too hot and tired to eat, dear”. The other one is from after he is served the salad bowl. He is saying “Um-mm. This cool salad bowl makes me hungry for more”. The bottom right side of the ad shows the one gallon container that this product was served in.
