Description

Waterford Cigarettes Ad 1966Three color 9 1/2″ x 12 1/2″ ad for the Newest taste in smoking. The ad has a picture of a man with a boating hat on looking into the camera with a quizzical look on his face. The ad caption under this picture has him asking “Why would the commodore go around pinching cigarettes?” and the ad goes on to explain about the tiny capsules of water suspended in the tips of these cigarettes. The smoker was supposed to pinch or squeeze the cigarette on the blue lines which would break these capsules open so the smoke would be cooler. This ad is larger than my scanner bed so the outer edges of the ad will not be visible in the scanned view.
