Full color 9 1/2″ x 13 1/2 ad for their Wallpaper Girdle. This ad has a picture that caught my attention right away. What is seen is an attractive woman wearing only a Warner’s Bra and Girdle running through a field of high grass with her arms stretched behind her. The headline claims that “What you feel in a Warner’s – isn’t the girdle” and the text describes the unique construction of this item that makes you feel Free, Unrestrained and Uninhibited. It also mentions other ways that you will feel while wearing one of these girdles and gives the prices of several of their items. What I kept on looking for in the ad text were the words that so often accompany pictures like these in a police report, “the use of alcohol is suspected”.
