Description

Contents:  Raiderettes’ Van (Would you believe that somebody actually gets paid to drive Football’s Fabulous Females to the L.A. Coliseum for gtames in this van), 12th Annual Van Nationals (Mississippi, especially in the Summer, can be hot and sticky. That didn’t keep thousands of vanners from throwing one of the biggest parties of the year), 1985 Chevrolet Trucks (Here’s a sneak preview of what’s new for ’85 from the Chevy stable. Most notable is the brand new Chevy Astro – 155 horsepower and rear wheel drive), Stull’s Street Bar (Looking much like an off-road roll bar, Stull has just released this brand new Street Bar that only comes up to cab height. Just right for streeters), Custom By Crash (Tommy Sharp was actually quite happy with his El Camino, until it dueled it out with a flatbed truck and came out second. Lookin’ good now though), Midwest F-100 Campout and Pig Roast (The F-100 crowd always finds a way to have fun and this time they went whole-hog), Las Vegas Mud Bogs (One of the largest gathering of spectators assembled to see the mud fly in the City of Lights. Trying to get through the bog proved to be a big gamble), Steel Flares (If you want the hot-rod look, you have to bolt on a set of wide tires. Steel flares are a good way to keep you legal and the sides of your truck clean), Toyota Project (We add on a dash of class to the project this month as it nears completion), Hawaiian F-100 (Seems as though nearly every state in the union has a number of classic F-100 Fords. Check this one out, from of all places, the Island paradise), 2nd Seat (The rumble seat has returned, and just in time for the mini-truck crowd), Chopped “N Dropped (Not one but two, count ’em, two chopped top Chevy pickups straight from the Peach State. The good ol’ boys know how to put those sweet pick ‘m ups together), Lil ’40 Ford (Although the owner claims it wasn’t worth what he paid for it – and that was a modest expense, all of us will have to agree that it is now priceless), 8th Annual Mini-Truck Nationals (The partying people always tell me that the first time and the last time are the best ones to attend. Unfortunately, this one is the latter) Departments – Reader’s Rap, Truck Stuff, Ford Folio, Shop Manual, Van Scan, Chevy Corner, Just Mini Truckin’, Chrysler Connection, Readers’ Rides, Happenings
