Description

Tang Ad 1960 JanuaryFull color 9 3/4″ x 13 3/4″ ad that is for Tang Instant Breakfast Drink. This ad, beneath the words “Happiest thing that ever happened to breakfast” shows a man and a woman tapping their glasses of Tang together in attempt to celebrate another morning. It is obvious they are sitting at the table; white tablecloth, a cup of coffee, a loose spoon sitting in the middle of the tacle and an opened jar of Tang is what I see. The text says Tang – more vitamin C than orange juice” and then that Tang is the new instant breakfast drink – nothing to squeeze, nothing to unfreeze. It gives you a double helping of important vitamins. Vitamin C – more of the Vitamin C you need every day than you get from fresh or frozen orange or grapefruit juice. Vitamin A – another resistance-building vitamin, so important in flu and colds season. Tang gives you more vitamin A than even tomato juice. Tang mixes instantly in ice cold water, by the glass or by the quart. When you mix your breakfast Tang, make plenty and keep it chilling in the refrigerator. This wake-up drink is always golden good”.
