This ad can be plainly seen that it is about Socks because pictured in this ad is a man’s shoe, his pants pulled up a few inches so his socks are very evident. The ad headline claims that “This rugged young man, in the best of health, wears Supp-Hose Socks. How Come?”. That’s a good question. “To help him keep feeling that way. To help him stay in good shape, to feel really alive and ready to go places. And Supp-Hose do help. Better than any other sock he ever wore. They ‘work’ for him. To such an active young man, it’s not important that Supp-Hose are support socks. Or that they’ve got a unique, patented two-way knit which helps relieve leg fatigue. What is important, is that Supp-Hose somehow help him keep feeling good. As it turns out, Supp-Hose also keep a man looking good. They’re trim, handsome, over-the-calf. Flattering to the legs.
