Description

Full color 7 3/4″ x 10 3/4″ ad for Seagram’s 7 Crown American Whiskey and their recipe for The Seven ‘n Cider. The ad announces “The Seven ‘n Cider” at the top of the page and then shows a casually dressed couple going on a picnic on a sunny afternoon. The lady is holding onto the man’s arm as he is carrying the picnic basket as they walk slowly along in the countryside. The text is about their conversation. “”You tired?” “Just a little.” “Want to stop?” “Okay.” “There. That’s a nice spot. By the big pile of leaves.” So while she unpacked an autumn kind of picnic, he put together an autumn kind of drink. In went a jigger of Seagram’s 7 Crown, over a healthy handful of ice. Then, fresh apple cider, right up to the top. Garnished with a thin slice of apple, and that was that. “Hey, you’re egg salad is really great.” “Your Seven ‘n Cider is terrific, too.” “I’m glad we stopped.” “So am I.”
