Description

Scott Tissue Ad 1965Full color 9 3/4″ x 13″ ad for the Lady Scott Prints. This ad starts off by saying that “Now…the gayest, easiest, thriftiest way to ‘touch up’ your bath Lady Scott Prints so pretty with everything – they make plain tissues seem old-fashioned”. There are four pictures in this ad, each one worth describing. In the first one it says “Gay ‘touch-up’…right with stripes. These are the prints Scott planned to go with stripes, and other prints, as easily as they blend with solid colors. Clue: pick up one of the stripe colors from towels or wall paper. Account it with Lady Scott Prints (Here it is in Lady Scott Green)”. Next there is one that is pink and it says that there is a “Smart ‘touch-up’…so new with florals. Accessorize a floral bath – or costume – with the Lady Scott print. It blends with any décor”. Then we go to the “Fresh ‘touch-up’…sprightly with solids. In a plain bath, use Lady Scott Prints to brighten stark white areas, and to lighten the effect of strong solid color towels”. Lastly, there are the prints “And…they’re priced for everyday use. This new look in tissues isn’t just pretty. You get the same number of sheets and the same fine quality that you expect in soft 2-ply tissues. Lady Scott Prints are just as practical as they are pretty”.
