1949 – Black and white 5 3/4″ x 2 1/4″ ad for their “Fast, Safe, Comfortable & Economical” Scooter. The headline promises that you will “Save Money with a Salsbury“ and the vehicle shown in the ad looks too narrow to be what I would consider comfortable. You can see what is probably a Gas pedal and a Brake pedal and a single seat with a back fender that is probably too wide for a passenger to straddle comfortably. They claim there is “No Increase in Price” and that it can be driven for “Less than 1/3 cents per mile”.
