Plymouth Ad May 1937Plymouth – Black and white 9 1/2″ x 13 3/4″ ad for the Plymouth automobile has the headline asking “Stand Up?” and “These Plymouth Owners say, You Bet!”. There are four photos of people at the top of the page. First there is a woman, Elisabeth Warren, who has the headline Rut Roads, Hills”. Next there is a man, W.H. Kopf, of who it is said that he gives the “Worst Abuse”. Then there is another man, C.E. Blanchard, who claims that his is “Still Quiet, Powerful”. Then we have the fourth man, Oscar E. Hurless, who claims that “my ’29 Model Plymouth is still going strong”. The ad says that you should “Read these actual reports – See how Plymouth saves you money”. It then says “How they talk, these happy owners…about their Plymouth cars! Famous features give Plymouth it reliability and long life: a big, rigid X-type frame…all-steel body…super-strong Hypoid rear axle…Floating Power engine mountings…double-action hydraulic brakes.
