Description

Pillsbury Ad 1956Full color 10″ x 14″ ad for their Frosting Mixes. The ad has a large picture of a young boy who has been helping his mother frost a cake. The towel she wrapped around his shirt is almost solid frosting, every finger on both hands is coated, an uninterrupted line of frosting circles his mouth and there is even a touch on and under his nose. The ad headline calls it “The homemade ‘cooked’ kind…now with no cooking” and the ad tells us that “Now there are 4!” with a Fluffy White, a Creamy Fudge, a Milk Chocolate and a Creamy Caramel. This ad is larger than my scanner bed so the outer edges of the ad will not be visible in the scanned view.
