I know this is a silly question, especially when you look at the cake and ice cream that they are advertising, Ann Pillsbury’s ‘Cream-Lined Cake. It looks to be a very delicious cake having a slice taken out of it so we can clearly see that this cake is baked around some ice cream. The ad describes it by saying “Here’s a Delightful New Way to Serve It! Believe it or not, you can make this ingenious, taste-tempting desert in a cool, quick hurry with the faster Pillsbury’s Best for modern baking. Happily, this new-day flour is perfectly suited to Ann Pillsbury’s time-saving, quick-mix method. And to all your baking it imparts new lightness – delicacy – flavor. No wonder it’s gaining popularity faster than ever. Try it. Soon!”. The recipe for this wonderful cake is given in the lower third of the ad.
