Description

Pepsi Ad 1953Full color 9 1/2″ x 13 1/2″ ad for The Light Refreshment. There is a picture of a get-together where a lady in a dark dress is being approached by a man in a gray suit. He is speaking to her from behind and as she smokes the cigarette in a holder and sips from her glass of Pepsi-Cola she turns slightly and fixes him with a cool but slightly interested expression. The headline says “For modern people, modern taste…Pepsi-Cola refreshes without filling” and the text mentions the “slim, lithe youngsters of today” and gives much of the credit to the lightness to Pepsi. I don’t know what Pepsi has done different since then but something has changed because many of those slim, lithe youngsters must have been eaten by some of the people of today.
