Description

Ovaltine Ad 1942Full color 9 1/2″ x 13″ ad for New Improved Ovaltine. The ad has a story told by a set of cartoon drawings starting with a bored looking little boy sitting at the dinner table while his Mom stands behind him with a worried look on her face. The story tells about the parents talking about their little boy and the Mother goes and talks to the School Nurse who recommends Ovaltine. The boy starts eating his food and drinking Ovaltine and gaining weight. The ad headline claims this product is “For the Child who lacks the ‘Urge’ to eat”. This ad is larger than my scanner bed so the outer edges of the ad will not be visible in the scanned view.
