Description
Full color 9 1/2″ x 13 1/2″ wartime ad that tells us how relaxing smoking an Old Gold can be. The ad has a picture of an Italian restaurant where a soldier and his date are hoping to have a nice, quiet spaghetti dinner. The waiter has managed to lose control of the platter and drop the contents of a large bowl of spaghetti on the table in front of the soldier. His date quickly leans over and holds a pack of Old Gold in front of the man who is trying to maintain his cool. The ad headline gives the same advice that the lady is giving, “Why be Irritated? Light an Old Gold!” and we are also told that “Apple ‘Honey’ helps guard O.Gs. from Cigarette Dryness“. This ad is larger than my scanner bed so the outer edges of the ad will not be visible in the scanned view.
