Description
1960 Morris ‘1000’ – Black and white 9 1/2″ x 13″ ad has a photo of this imported car against a white background. At the top of the ad is a drawing of a turtle asking the question “What’s all this talk about unibody construction?” and the text explains that the prehistoric turtle has had unibody construction from the beginning, and the Morris has used it since 1938. The text mentions the quiet ride in this car priced at $1495 and, as far as performance, it claims “that wide-awake engine gets around like a hare with insomnia”. What more needs to be said?
