Description

Mercury Ad 1964Mercury – Full color 10″ x 13 1/2″ ad that wants you to “Try to act nonchalant driving the 1965 Mercury. Just try.” The photo at the top of the page is a drawing of an evening at the Squaw Valley Lodge in Tahoe City, CA. The lights are lit inside so that we can see the many people inside. Outside there are many people working with their skis and, parked directly in front of the lodge, there is a Four Door Mercury that was chosen as their Courtesy Car for Special Events. They ask what has changed and they respond “Just about everything”. They say that you can SEE the changes in the graceful new proportions and in the long, low thrusting hood. And they say that you can FEEL the changes in the ride – the solid, smooth, superbly quiet ride. They claim too that Mercury is now in the Lincoln Continental tradition.
