Lucky Strike Ad May 1965Full color 9 1/4″ x 12 1/2″ ad for Lucky Strike Filter Cigarettes. This ad has a picture of a man wearing a red shirt and a Fireman’s Hat from Engine 1, but it has a large bite out of the front of the brim. He is holding a Lucky Strike cigarette and the ad has him saying “What I said was: Show me just one filter that won’t take away the taste and I’ll eat my hat!” This ad says that “New Lucky Strike Filters put back the taste others take away. L.S./M.F.T. Lucky Strike Means Fine Tobacco. & Lucky Strike Means Flavor Tip. You get – unchanged – Lucky Strike’s famous fine-tobacco blend. And Lucky’s Flavor Tip actually enhances the taste”.
