Description

Lipton Ad May 1944Full color 9 1/2″ x 13 1/2″ ad for their Continental Noodle Soup, something that is advertised as being “America’s Most Popular Soup Mix”. The headline at the top of the ad wonders “Honest now—how could a noodle soup be better’n this?”. The drawings show Grandma making some “Old-fashioned chicken-y flavor in every cup” just above a drawing of a mother making up some while her daughter watches. The next drawing shows a lady comparing the six cups she would get from a container of Lipton’s to the four cups she would get from a can and the last drawing has a lady happily pulling change out of her purse as the text tells us that it costs “Only 10 cents for a package—and 4 to 6 servings of the grandest noodle soup you ever tasted”.
