Description

Life Savers Candy Ad 1941Black and white 5 1/2″ x 13″ ad for their Pep-O-Mint Life Savers. This ad contains three pictures that give helpful ideas for women to help them in the busy world. The first picture shows a lady out for an evening with a well-dressed man and the caption calls attention to “Three things for gals to take along on dates”. It lists as important things a house key, some mad money and to have pleasant breath. The last item is easy, it says, if you use Pep-O-Mint Life Savers. The second picture shows a lady wearing a raincoat, a fireman’s hat and summer clothes holding the business end of a fire hose to her face and the caption asks “Questing for a quick quencher?” and suggests using Cryst-O-Mint Life Savers. The third picture shows a lady sitting ad a lunch counter chowing down on a “Hamburger and onion” while the counter man stands with a worried look on his face. The text suggests that following up with a Pep-O-Mint Life Saver is all she will need. This ad is taller than my scanner bed so the outer edges of the ad will not be visible in the scanned view.
