Black and white 9 3/4″ x 13 3/4″ ad that is for Kleinert’s Softex Pad Pants With Disposable Pads. This ad shows a picture of a very happy-looking baby who is playing and the text says that he’s “6 Months Old…and he’s never worn a diaper!”. The text starts off by saying that “Long before he was born, his modern mother decided that “diaper drudgery” was old-fashioned! HER baby was going to have a fresh, new, never-used-before pad for every change. Kleinert’s PAD PANTS are made of SOFTEX – soft, sheer, cool fabric waterproofed WITHOUT rubber. They weigh less than an ounce. And the disposable PADS are super absorbent cellulose with a special top tissue that CANNOT CHAFE. PAD PANTS are better for baby, and lots easier for mother – they really SOLVE the Diaper Problem. PAD PANTS are 60 cents and Re-fill Pads are 73 cents for a big package of a dozen”. There are three pictures under this. The first one says that if you “Lay Baby Down on something flat. Unpin PAD PANTS and put safety pins beyond reach of grasping little hands”. Next, we have to “Slip Fresh Re-Fill Pad into PAD PANTS. Adjust pants by pinning waistband snugly. Baby is dry and comfortable. Clothes are fully protected”. And then we “Flush Away Soiled Pad in the toilet. Re-fill PADS are COMPLETELY DISPOSABLE. Baby gets a fresh, never-before-used PAD for EVERY change”.
