King of Kentucky Whiskey Ad from June 24, 1946 Life magazine.

Description

Full color 10″ x 13 3/4″ ad with a headline saying that King Means Best in Everything” in this ad for King Blended Whisky from the Brown-Forman Distillers Corporation. Below the opening headline there is a drawing of a round tray full of, well, it’s just like something of everything to eat. Buns and fruit and berries and meat on a stick. Below this is a bottle of the King Whisky standing there with a glass of the product filled and waiting for you. The ad text introduces us to the “Brown-Forman’s King of Pre-War Whisky”. It then says to “Enjoy Brown-Forman’s deLIGHTful King of pre-war Whisky! You’ll acclaim its smooth mellowness, its full-flavored, satisfying taste. King is the growing whisky choice of the most discriminating, who know and appreciate the best in everything! King Whisky – from Kentucky”.
