Description

John Deere Ad 1965Full color 9 1/2″ x 13″ ad for the John Deere “110” Tractor. There is a picture of a man who has probably just come home from work. He is still in his business suit and has laid his briefcase against the back wheel of his John Deere. He is sitting upon the seat, hands behind his head, and is staring off into the distance thinking about his “Weekend Retirement Plan”. The text explains that this man owns a “country-style home” which he will now be able to take care of more easily. In fact he can even do it in the evenings so he will actually have his weekends free. It mentions that with this tractor, and an assortment of accessories, he will be able to “mow an acre an hour, till his garden, vacuum leaves, spray trees, clear snow and haul firewood”. The text continues by reminding us about the history of John Deere and mentioning the engine size and safety features.
