Jell-O Ad April 1957Full color 10″ x 14″ ad from their Nursery Rhyme series talking about their three new flavors, Black CherryBlack Raspberry and Grape. The ad has a drawing of a streetwise Black Sheep standing on top of three bags filled with wool as an old man with a green apron and golden keys attached to his waist enquires of him “Baa, Baa, Black Sheep, have you any wool”. The rhyme continues as we all know it until the last two lines when the sheep replies, referring to the waiter holding a platter with three bowls of Jell-O on his head while standing behind the old man, I’ll trade them for Jell-O in the new flavors three- Deep, dark, delicious treats for deep, dark me!.
