1910 Hupmobile – Black and white 6″ x 9 1/2″ ad for these reliable cars. Over a drawing of an open Hupmobile being driven in the countryside by two women is the headline “The other day a Hupobile fell over a cliff 500 feet high – read about it”. Headlines announce the price as being $750 with a 4 Cylinder 20 H.P. engine, sliding gears, Bosch magneto, three oil lamps, tools and a horn. It warns that the top, gas lamps, tank or generator, speedometer and trunk rack are extra. The text is filled with examples of reliability and low-cost upkeep.
