Description

Hunt's Ad 1947Full color 10″ x 13 1/2″ ad for Hunt’s Tomato Paste and mentions something very good that you can make with it. They say that “A wonderful cooking sauce from California – makes delicious shrimp creole from old New Orleans” and there is a view of a dinner table with a very good looking dish of this setting there waiting. The ad says that “We promise you – this cooking ingredient will do delicious things for your favorite recipes! It’s Hunt’s Tomato Sauce. Extra-savory…extra handy to use. And it costs only a few cents. Hunt’s Tomato Sauce is all tomato, through and through. Plump, sun-ripened beauties are simmered down with rare seasonings and spices. That’s why it’s so rich – why it fairly tingles with wonderful tangy flavor. That’s why it makes exciting new treats of favorite family dishes. Like meat loaf, spaghetti, pot roasts, stew, rice, gravy, eggs sea foods (grand shrimp recipe below). And Hunt’s Tomato Sauce is so convenient – ready to add in seconds. Look for the Hunt red label at your food stores. You’ll want to buy several cans. It costs so little!”. It then has the recipe for the delicious Shrimp Creole at the bottom of the ad.
