Description

Howard Johnson's Ad July 1964Three color 9 1/2″ x 13″ ad for the people that work in their restaurants. The ad has a picture of an incident that a recently happened at the Howard Johnson’s Restaurant on Southern Blvd just south of Albany, N.Y.. A lady and her two children had been involved in a rear-end collision on the Thruway and were sitting in this restaurant trying to gather their wits. A waitress, Loiuse Eriole, noticed their distress and the fact that the ankle of one of the daughters had begun to swell. Their car had been towed so the waitress called her Shift Supervisor at home who drove back to work and took the family to the hospital where the girl remained for three days. This ad has a picture of these two employees, the kind of people they want you to expect to find working there, and gives them this month’s Spotlight Award. This ad is larger than my scanner bed so the outer edges of the ad will not be visible in the scanned view.
