Heinz Ad 1940 MarchBlack and white 9 1/4″ x 13 1/2″ ad for Heinz home-style Soups. This ad shows a man who works at a soup dispensery, standing there laughing as he is talking to a few customers and he is pointing with his thumb back at the sign that was originally painted up as “There’s No Place Like Home” and, has been changed to, “There’s No Soup Like Heinz. The banner in this ad says that “At Restaurants And Fountains Everywhere, You Can Enjoy The Same Rich, Heartening Soups You Eat At Home”. They have chosen a can of Heinz Vegetable Soup to stand next to the text which begins with “‘Eating Out’ is like ‘eating in’ when your favorite counter serves your favorite soup – by Heinz. For every bowlful of hale and hearty Heinz Home-Made Soup is brimming with irresistable, homemade flavor Heinz chefs capture by careful, small-batch cooking. Soda fountains, luncheonettes and tea rooms from coast to coast are equipped with the Heinz Electric Soup Kitchen that facilitates prompt, speedy service of these delectable dishes. An electric soup cup heats them in two minutes. All 23 Heinz Home-Style Soups – luscious cream soups, vegetable soups, savory chicken soups – are available in 10-ounce and 16-ounce tins”.
