Gulf Oil Ad 1953Full color 9 3/4″ x 13 1/2″ ad for Gulfpride H.D. Motor Oil. This ad has two pictures of men with their cars, the top picture shows a man with an older car and the bottom picture shows a man with a new car. In the top picture the text says that “‘You should have seen this 1911 Hudson when I found it in a farmer’s barn’ writes Gordon S. Deye of Toledo, Ohio. ‘It took a year and a half of my spare time to restore it – so you can imagine how extra-careful I am with it now. Naturally, I’m using Gulfpride H.D.. In the lower picture, the text begins with “‘My job demands a car that won’t let me down – and I’ve found that the lowest-priced ‘engine insurance’ is the best motor oil on the market,’ writes Frank J.
