Description

Glenmore Bourbon Whiskey Ad 1938Black and white 5″ x 13 1/2″ ad for Glenmore’s Kentucky Tavern Straight Bourbon Whiskey. This ad has a drawing of a tabletop with a bottle of Glenmore’s Kentucky Tavern in a serving tray along with two glasses filled with it. Behind them there is a hat, known as a Top Hat, and, above this, is the word “Tops”. The text in this ad says that “White tie, tails and topper call for the whiskey that meets the occasion without apology – Kentucky Tavern – Glenmore’s famous bottled-in-bond Bourbon. What if it is higher priced? It’s a rare bargain at that. Whether in a cocktail, neat, or in a tall nightcap, its deep rounded flavor and fragrance are equally evident. 100 Proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, bottled in bond under United States Government Supervision”.
