Full color 9 1/2″ x 13 1/2″ ad for their Pure Prepared Mustard with some ways to help the wartime meals liven up. At the top of the page is a drawing of a character called Hot Dan the Mustard Man and he is asking “Lunchbox Happy? You bet they are! Hot Dan’s Tips do the trick!”. The ad contains recipes for Potato Salad and Deviled Eggs and shows a mother spreading French’s Mustard on some mystery meat as her son claims that “Mom makes the best sandwiches in town!”. At the bottom of the ad Hot Dan is reminding us to “Save Fats to help shorten the war. The need is desperate.”
