1947 DeSoto – Black and white 10″ x 13 1/2″ ad that speaks highly of the DeSoto. The quote given is that “DeSoto is the best car I ever owned, regardless of price” say overwhelming majority of new DeSoto owners in a nationwide poll”. There is a picture of a 4-Door DeSoto parked so that it can be seen by everyone. There is another bit of salesmanship here because just below the car is the statement that it “Lets you drive without shifting”. Amazing.
