Description
Full color 9 3/4″ x 13 1/2″ ad for Coca-Cola Soft Drinks In Glass Bottles. This ad shows a happy picture of a group of young adults sitting on the porch of a house, all enjoying a bottle of Coca-Cola and snacking on a plate full of cookies. The one girl is standing up and seems to be saying that you should “Come on over…Have a Coke“. The ad tells us that “When you’re feeling neighborly, there’s no easier or nicer way to express your feelings than those three familiar words – Have a Coke. When the work’s all done and relaxing time comes ’round, folks appreciate a chance to share the hospitality of the pause that refreshes with ice-cold Coca-Cola. It’s a custom that people welcome wherever they meet”. This ad, like the other ones from 1947, has the item at the bottom of the ad. “Coke‘ = ‘Coca-Cola‘. ‘Coca-Cola‘ and its abbreviation ‘Coke‘ are the registered trade-marks which distinguish the product of The Coca-Cola Company”.
