Description

Coca Cola Ad 1938 MarchFull color 9 1/2″ x 13 1/4″ ad for Coca-Cola Soft Drink. In this ad we see a drawing of two well-dressed young ladies sitting at a soda fountain drinking Coca-Cola with smiles on their faces. The ad headline says that this is “The good old pause that refreshes” right next to the big red sign that encourages us to “Drink Coca-Cola. The ad then tells us that “There’s a bargain counter everybody knows…the soda fountain. It offers you a welcome pause…to relax…and to enjoy the still more welcome pause that refreshes with ice-cold Coca-Cola…for only 5 cents”. Just to the left of these words is a picture showing a lady leaving a full elevator, looking very refreshed, and the operator is seemingly impressed. The picture text here says that “Shopping Won’t Tire You Out If You Take Time To Pause And Refresh”.
