Black and white 9 1/2″ x 13″ ad with another attempt to convince the public to buy Champion Spark Plugs because everyone else does. This ad has a picture of the front of a DC-8 taking off from Idlewild, NY. The ad headline claims that “Every major U.S. airline uses Champion spark plugs or Champion jet igniters because Champions deliver the utmost in dependability. Why settle for less in your car?” There is an informative P.S. in this ad that tells us the surest way to avoid starting trouble this winter. They claim that last year it was found that worn spark plugs were found to be the No. 1 cause of this problem.
