Carnation Ad April 1943Full color 9 1/2″ x 13 1/2″ ad for their Irradiated Unsweetened Evaporated Milk. This wartime ad has a drawing of a young Private sitting on his bunk with a look of amazement on his face. In his hand he holds a letter from home that informs him that his wife has given birth to a son and he is thriving on Carnation milk. The text reminds the soldier that there is now one more important person for he and his fellow soldiers to be fighting for. It talks about Carnation being the best for making formula with and urges all parents to follow their doctor’s advice and use Carnation.
