Candy Ad 1947Full color 10″ x 14″ ad that talks about the need for Candy in our diets. The reddish background has a heart cutout where a picture is shown of a man at work digging into his lunch box to open a bag that is filled with assorted candies. The headline claims that “The ‘Crave for Candy’ is a call for energy” and the text talks about “working” means you are using up “Energy” so it becomes important to eat candy. Scattered across the bottom of the page are various kinds of candy to whet your appetite. The text finishes off by saying “The body knows it. The scientific folks know it. So let the rest of us write this down: Candy’s Dandy – Keep it Handy.
