Candy Ad 1946Full color 10″ x 14″ ad for the many values of Candy. This ad has a red background and there is a section cutout in the shape of a heart where a picture is seen of two youngsters on roller skates. The boy is pouring candy from a bag he holds in his hand into the cupped hands of a very appreciative young girl in a red dress. Scattered throughout this ad are a series of sayings like “The ‘Crave for Candy’…often a call for energy”“America Loves Candy – America Needs Energy”“Candy’s Dandy. keep it Handy” and “Candy Makes Friends”. The text mentions some health facts that have long been disproved and says enough to cause a person to feel it is his patriotic duty eat candy.
