Description

Campbell’s Ad - 1952 SeptemberFull color 9 1/2″ x 13″ ad that is for Campbell’s Tomato Soup and their Campbell’s Vegetable Soup. Next to a drawing of two children that seem to be going to school are the words “School days are soup days! Give them Soup For Lunch. The ad then says that you should “Give growing children the one hot dish at midday, that food experts recommend. A healthy child is a small dynamo pouring out energy from dawn to dark. Every mother knows by instinct what modern educators and dieticians affirm…that children need one good hot dish at lunch to warm amd sustain. And for that hot dish, soup is ideal. For soup is both delicious and nourishing. It’s easy to serve (Just 4 minutes from stove to table), easy on the pocketbook. There are 21 Campbell’s Kinds to choose from!…So why not give your children soup for lunch”. Beneath this are two different pictures drawn in. The first is entitled Lunch At Home and shows a table set with a platter of Campbell’s Tomato Soup and the other is entitled Lunch At School and shows a sandwich, some assorted vegetables and a thermos filled with Campbell’s Vegetable Soup.
