Description
Full color 9 3/4″ x 13 1/2″ ad for Campbell’s Beef Soup. This is a very intriguing ad, one that makes me a little bit hungry, myself. Pictured in this ad is an older gentleman standing at the dinner table and looking at the very large bowl of Campbell’s Beef Soup that a woman’s hands are offering him. The ad headline has him saying, “Oh boy, that’s going to taste good – I’m hungry!”. The ad then says that you should “Give a man good hearty food when he comes home hungry in the evening. Give him good beef, for instance, and nourishing vegetables, and he’ll tell you that that’s the kind of meal he likes. …So Campbell’s Beef Soup ‘talks a man’s own language’. One glance at a hefty plateful, one whiff of its beefy aroma, and he knows he’s going to enjoy it. Almost everyone likes a thick, rich beef stock, and that’s the kind Campbell’s Beef Soup has. It’s deep-brown in color and every spoonful is full-flavored and invigorating. There are generous pieces of beef all through the soup, and plenty of good vegetables – potatoes – carrots – celery – tomato. Here is a delicious, hunger-quelling soup if ever there was one! If you haven’t tried Campbell’s Beef Soup, why not do so soon? It’s the kind of soup all the family will go for – and so substantial you can make it the main dish of many a meal”. There is a box in the lower right hand side of this ad with a container of Campbell’s Beef Soup in it and it claims that it is “Rich Brown Beef Stock * Luscious Garden Vegetables * Hearty Pieces Of Beef”.
