Description

Campbell's Ad 1921Black and white 8 3/4″ x 12 1/4″ ad for their Condensed Tomato Soup. Next to a drawing of a large can of this soup is a drawing of one of the Campbell’s Kids sitting at a campfire with a pitched tent in the background. There is a pot being warmed with an empty can of Campbell’s Tomato Soup on the ground next to the fire and a full case of this product ready to supply tomorrow and the next day. The ad calls it “The natural food” and the text describes the anticipation from the aroma to the satisfaction from the taste. It describes the ingredients as though they were diamonds in the rough and mentions Campbell’s Bean Soup before claiming a total of 21 kinds of soup and a price of 15 cents a can.
