Description
Full color 9 1/2″ x 13 1/2″ ad for their Quick Frozen Green Beans French Style. The ad has a picture of a platter of what they call Country Hospitality. The ad has the complete recipe for this treat and has a four-frame cartoon called “Sally Slays ’em!”. The story told in the cartoon starts with an angry wife slamming the telephone down after being told by her husband that he was bringing his boss and wife home for dinner. She is upset because it is the night before payday and she is forced to deal with only having $1.69 to furnish this important meal with. The Birdseye character shows up and offers Sally the idea of serving this Country Hospitality dish. The Birdseye explains how easy it will be and the last frame shows four happy people sitting at the dinner table with Sally, in the same dress, receiving complements.
