Allsweet Ad 1951Full color 9 3/4″ x 13 1/2″ ad for their Allsweet Vegetable Oleomargarine. This ad has a picture of a four-pack of this product in the lower-left hand corner and, according to the ad, it has “delicate natural flavor! No artificial flavoring…ever!”. The ad has a large plate with a sandwich with ham and lettuce on it and the top piece of bread has been folded back so that the amount of butter that has been placed on it is evident and delicious-looking. The plate is sitting on a bedding of loaves of bread and dinner rolls of varying kinds, all sitting and waiting to be buttered. The ad claims that “If you like fresh-baked bread you’ll like Allsweet – and for the very same reason. Both have delicate natural flavor. Next time, get economical Allsweet – a delicious spread, a great enricher of other foods”.
