There is a drawing of the testing going on at Daytona for the 1963 Pure Oil Performance Trials where, as the headline claims, of the winners “AC sparks five out of six”. The text claims that the Self-Cleaning Tip was partly responsible for the results and, at the bottom of the ad, are further details of the types of test run.
