Description
Full color 9 1/2″ x 13″ ad for the Ethyl Gasoline at their service stations and for the Veedol 10-30 Motor Oil. The ad has a picture of a serious-minded young boy who is performing his duties as a member of the Safety Patrol on a rainy morning. He is standing on the edge of the painted line for the crosswalk and is holding up his “STOP” sign toward a green GM car so that a group of children can safely cross. The ad headline says that “Under the wings of the Flying A Safety is our business” just like this young man. The text explains that having “the smooth, quiet power of Flying A Ethyl gasoline” is one of the easiest ways to be able to drive safely and if you are going to stop there for gas, you might as well use their oil since it is designed to compliment their gasoline. This ad is larger than my scanner bed so the outer edges of the ad will not be visible in the scanned view.
